Антуан Дюваль

Antoine Duval is our viticulturist and oenologist, an expert in growing grapes in amateur and commercial vineyards.
Born into a family of winemakers in the Bordeaux region of France, Antoine absorbed knowledge about terroir, grape varieties, and the intricacies of vine care from an early age. He received formal training in oenology and viticulture at the Higher School of Agronomy in Montpellier.
For more than 20 years, Antoine has worked as a viticulture consultant in various climatic zones, from sunny California to cooler Ontario in Canada. He specializes in adapting classic European techniques to challenging conditions, selecting frost-resistant varieties, and organic vine protection methods.
Antoine now lives in Napa Valley, where he researches the selection of new hybrids and consults for small wineries. He is the author of a popular blog on modern viticulture for non-professionals and is convinced that it is possible to grow a decent grape harvest even on a small plot of land.
In his articles for GardenWiseHub, Antoine not only provides clear instructions on pruning and training vines, but also teaches readers to understand their life cycle, choose varieties for their climate, and avoid common mistakes that can cost years of waiting.
